In the early 1930s, when this bowl was created, Oswald Haerdtl was running Josef Hoffmann's studio. The close collaboration is reflected here, however Haerdtl brings a new dynamic into play: The densely positioned fluted grooves and ridges radiate in a flickering shimmer. Similar fluting is to be found on his 1950s cutlery (Cutlery, Flatware 192). Reissued after an original drawing in our archives.

Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
