Willy Zügel was a German sculptor.
He became known for his small sculptures of animals, with which he is represented in numerous galleries such as the Nationgalerie Berlin, the Kunsthalle Bremen or the Münchner Stadtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus as well as the art collection of the city of Murrhardt. He made models for the Phillipp Rosenthal porcelain factory from 1911 to 1926, the Nymphenburg porcelain manufactory from 1911 to 1913, the Meissen porcelain manufactory and, from 1935, for the porcelain manufactory in Munich-Allach, which opened up a wide audience to him. Zügel also created numerous monuments on behalf of the public, including the memorial to the fallen of the First World War in Murrhardt and the monument to Theodor Christomannos.
