The most pioneering design by the Bohemian sculptor Dominikus Auliczek is the service Pearl in the Louis-Seize style from 1792 that gets its name from a bar of pearls that runs along the borders of the individual items. For the first time in the history of European porcelain, Auliczek based his service on a dodecagon shape – instead of the usual round shape. Such different pieces in the services as the cups and tureens were also adorned with plastic acanthus leaves – a typical motif in classical art and architecture, which Auliszek was able to study during his trips around Italy. Adorned with sepia vedute and lavish blue-and-gold decoration, it was reserved exclusively as the Royal Bavarian Service for the Wittelsbach family (today available upon request). The Pearl shape is also available in white, three-in-glaze designs (Symphony blue, yellow, green) and with pearl decorations in gold and platinum as well as in a black platinum decoration.
