Nymphenburg Table Flower Collection "Cactus" designed by Conrad Linck (Germany)
Nymphenburg Table Flower Collection "Cactus" designed by Conrad Linck (Germany)
Table flowers from Nymphenburg are something very special because they are made of porcelain. Each individual petal is as unique as its real counterpart in nature – and is completely handcrafted by the porcelain manufacturer Nymphenburg. The fine table flowers not only make a decorative centerpiece on a table but also make magnificent ornaments on a sideboard.
Franz Conrad Linck was born in Speyer in 1730. He acquired his first sculptural skills from his father and in later years enjoyed a solid education as a sculptor here, which he deepened in Würzburg and from 1753 at the Imperial and Royal Court Academy in Vienna. After three years Linck moved to Berlin to complete his studies with Georg Franz Ebenhecht. With the outbreak of the Seven Years' War in 1756, he returned to Speyer and began working in his father's workshop. From 1762 to 1766, he worked as a modeller at the porcelain manufactory in Frankenthal, which was subordinated to Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg during the reign of Elector Carl Theodor von der Pfalz - the successor to Max III Joseph.
