Nymphenburg Service "Bavaria" dinner plate designed by Ernst Andreas Rauch in 1994( Germany)
Nymphenburg Service "Bavaria" dinner plate designed by Ernst Andreas Rauch in 1994( Germany)
Although Nymphenburg porcelain is exported all over the world, it is still intentionally produced, entirely by hand, at a single location in the circular drive of the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich. Historical, traditional Bavarian services, figurines, and accessories made entirely by hand in the Nymphenburg master workshops are a testimony to the manufactory’s roots. With its veal sausage terrine with elaborate lion knob, the scalloped dishes, and the traditional pitcher, the Bavaria Service is reminiscent of the Bavarian lifestyle, the white-blue sky, and the House of Wittelsbach perhaps more than any other design. Ernst Andreas Rauch, to whom the manufactory owes many designs in the Bavarian style, also created the templates for this painted decoration with the Bavarian coat of arms and blue edge decoration. In conjunction with the simple shape of the service, Bavaria timelessly embodies the Bavarian way of life and invites you to experiment with convivial table settings.
